Having always had an interest in antiques from an early age I decided to make it my career. I was awarded a Diploma in the Fine and Decorative Arts from the Insititue of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers. I then went to work for James Adam and Sons of St Stephens Green, Ireland's leading fine art auctioneers, for seven years. Returning to Longford in 2003 I converted the cut stone buildings at the back of Freehalman into showrooms and thus M.J. Keogh Antiques was established. I travel extensively throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom sourcing good quality antique items and have new stock arriving on a regular basis.
Having studied antique and vintage jewellery at the Anchor Cert Academy, Assay Office, Birmingham, I launched our jewellery section in December 2017. We sell a wide variety of rings, earrings, bracelets and necklaces inset with various gemstones for example diamonds, sapphires, emeralds and rubies.
